We found two great lip scrub and lip balm recipes over at
Henry Happened. These are effective, healthy, and yummy, edible lip treatments. The
coconut oil and sweet almond oil helps to soften your skin. The honey helps to promote new skin growth. The honey also helps to keep the lip balm smooth and creamy. So make a batch and enjoy!
Pumpkin Pie Spice Lip Scrub & Balm
Pumpkin Pie Lip Scrub
2 tablespoons coconut oil
1 tablespoon honey
1 tablespoon brown sugar
1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
Combine ingredients together in a small bowl and transfer to a covered jar or container. Apply to lips with your finger and gently rub back and forth. Finish with an application of pumpkin pie lip balm.
1 tablespoon sweet almond oil
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1 teaspoon beeswax**
1 teaspoon honey
¼ teaspoon pumpkin spice mix
Lip balm tub
In a double boiler combine almond oil and beeswax until melted together. Remove from heat and stir in the honey and pumpkin pie spice. Once mixed, then carefully pour the mixture into a lip balm container. Let it harden and cool.Once it starts to cool mix it some more, so your spices are mixed through out the whole container.
Both the scrub and the balm taste great and make your lips smooth and healthy. If you want your lip balm a little more solid, then feel free to add more beeswax.
**Warning if you are allergic to bees do not use beeswax, it can cause an allergic reaction.

So, would you just leave out the beeswax? Or can I replace it with something?
It is fine without it, coconut oil is a great substitute.
